Hey, ya'll!! I'm DASH, your favorite music enthusiast! Welcome to my blog!

I created this space to be free and music geeky, partially because my Instagram stories were starting to get extremely long covering my favorite songs, albums, now playing, new/indie artists, and random music facts. However, most importantly this site was created to finally accomplish a dream from my youth of providing quality music journalism. 

​

In this streaming era, everything is so fast and often causes a lack of song or album longevity because there's always something new every Friday. So why this blog? Well, I'm kicking it old school — I'm referring to Complex, XXL, EgoTrip, or The Source magazine era—where music journalists lived with albums for a minimum of 30 days before offering their reviews to the public.

Sorry (but not sorry), there won't be any quick or day of reviews here. I appreciate the art of lyricism, delivery, sequencing, and concepts. Therefore, it requires time to digest... so if your desire is to catch new music every Friday, this may not be the blog for you. 

However, what you will find here in the coming days and months are my curated playlists, radio shows, upcoming podcast, interviews, and tour recaps.

This is not my first time at (*in my juvenile voice*) THE RODEO! My blog has had a few facelifts since 2011—What's on the DASHboard? was seeing approx 15K views a week, which is still wildly amazing. Three degrees later—Mass Communications (B.A.), New Media Journalism (M.A.), and Digital Marketing (M.S.)—and I'm back to it hoes.
